Green Hill Park Pedestrian Bridge
The Roanoke County Greenways Commission in Virginia needed a 70’-0” x 8’-0” pedestrian bridge for a stream crossing on their trail, and they requested a 42” handrail height with sloped ends for aesthetic reasons. Following fabrication, the bridge was shipped in component parts to their park headquarters, along with our detailed set of assembly directions. A team of workers, who had no prior experience building fiberglass bridges, assembled the pedestrian bridge on temporary supports in the streambed. The bridge was completed during one weekend in time for an Earth Day celebration.
